The Reserve Bank of India is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Bank’s Medical Consultant on a contractual basis. The post is based on fixed hourly remuneration for the dispensaries which are located in the Main Office Building Dispensary, Reserve Bank of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bhubaneswar, Reserve Bank of India Officers’ Quarters, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, Reserve Bank of India Staff Quarters Vidyut Marg, Bhubaneswar and Reserve Bank of India Staff Quarters, Baramuda, Bhubaneswar.
Interested candidates should submit the application to “The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bhubaneswar– 751001”. Also, the last date to fill out the application form is August 19, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria required for RBI Recruitment 2022
The candidate should have an MBBS degree issued from any recognized university in the Allopathic system of medicine valued by the Medical Council of India.
The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the medical field as a medical practitioner.
The applicant will be eligible if his/her dispensary or place of residence is located within a radius of 3-5 km from the Bank’s dispensaries at the aforementioned locations.
Bank’s Medical Consultant remuneration will be fixed based on the actual duty hours performed, and also, will be all-inclusive.
Period of Contract for RBI Recruitment 2022
The duration of the contract will be 3 years. Renewal for engagement on completion of the period of contract will not be permitted.
Selection Procedure:
Interview for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted by the bank.
The Bank can also raise the minimum eligibility standards with an aim to limit the number of candidates to be called for interviews.
The bank will make the final decision in this regard.
Mere fulfilling the eligibility criteria will not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview, for those who may be called for interview, the Bank will not be entertaining any correspondence with the applicants who will not be called for the interview.
The selected applicants will then be called for necessary medical tests as per prescribed norms.
The medical tests will be conducted before entering into contract with the Bank for offering services as Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC).
The candidates will be responsible to pay the cost of these medical tests.
Terms and Conditions
The contract signed by the selected candidate will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of joining for the post.
There is no renewal scheme for engagement on completion of the duration of the contract.
The Bank’s Medical Consultant will have to be present at the dispensaries during their duty hours, excluding bank holidays. Also, the days declared as holidays for the half-yearly closing purpose and annual closing subject to the condition will not be kept close for two successive days.
The consultant is responsible for giving advice without charging any fees. Prescribing medicines and administering injections free of charges to the members of the staff are also the duty of the consultant.
The BMC must make themselves available for consultation at their private clinic in urgencies in respect of the employees of the Bank at any time. the charges will be as prescribed in the schedule of the bank.
The duties of the Bank Medical Consultant at RBI’s offices or staff quarters will also include:
Treatment for minor or major illnesses experienced by the employees and their dependents.
Treating emergency cases brought to the dispensaries or in the bank premises or outside the bank premises.
The consultant will also have to administer the injections of all types. He/she will be responsible for any untoward reaction if it occurs.
Also, as per the rule, injections administered by the pharmacists in the absence of the BMC will be discouraged
